Rein Abbey / Austria

Rein Abbey is located just north of Graz. It is the oldest Cistercian monastery in the world, active without interruption since 1129. Around the monastery, there are numerous hiking trails where you can visit small chapels. A short hike to two of these chapels, the Ulrichsberg Chapel and the Calvary Chapel of Gratwein, as well as the monastery itself, are shown in the following video.

Below are some pictures from inside the Ulrichsberg Chapel as well as the Abbey Church. Between Rein and the Calvary Chapel in Gratwein is a modern Stations of the Cross with mosaics.
